Cheyenne told me to post more naked girl drawings to increase my blog traffic. I said naked guy drawings would be more original, but that didn't happen. In any case, here's a wingless water faerie doodle.


Ive finished a new short short I really want to post, but it's kind of on hold until I figure out what I'm doing for sound.

On-the-Go Sketches

Finally I get to post something. I've been too busy lately, plus I just moved into a new place, so I needed time to unpack and such. Anyway, I'm making a point to properly set aside time for my personal work from now on.

I don't normally post my sketches, but I've been making a point of trying to sketch more on the go these days, so I might as well show a few of those drawings.

Meanwhile, I've been getting these really bad shoulder pains. The weird thing is that it's on my left side and I'm right handed. It gets bad when I'm at my desk at work all day, so it's becoming difficult to do some personal work when I get home. I still use my left arm a lot for hotkeys and such. Just typing this is killing me. I gotta see a specialist.

October Doodles

It's Not You

Here are some character and costume concept doodles for a short comic I'm working on:



They're like a race of goat/rabbit-like creatures. Haven't really come up with a name for them yet, but I will be animating a taller version of one of the creatures for an unrelated school project.

The working title of the comic is "It's Not You".

Final Blitz

It's the last few weeks of the school semester, so things are getting pretty busy. This may very well be my last post before it's over. Sooooooooo.... here are a few pen & marker doodles from my new sketchbook.




I've also been trying hard to secure some employment for the summer. I've been applying at a bunch of smaller studios in Montreal. So far nothing certain, but I'm making valuable contacts. wish me luck.

Sketchy Highlights

Well im back in school for my 4th semester. With 3 hours less of class than last semester, im expecting things to go pretty smoothly. The animation projects seem to be all about lip synching and acting, which is quite exciting, really.

Seems like the more you go, the more you get tempted by just wanting to quit school and work in the industry. Just last week, i was told by some working animator friends in montreal that they needed animators for a big feature project they were working on, which happened to be an awesome, but that i naturally had to turn down. But then i reminded myself that once i start working, ill be doing that for most of my life, so i might as well stay in school for a while and enjoy the ride.

Anyway, figured since i didnt have much accomplished here yet, id just post a few selections from my fall sketchbook...

Tonight ill finally get to see Persepolis, ill be really disapointed if it doesn't live up to expectations...
